OK ... it's time to update the news ...On the racing scene: The results of the Wednesday series are up (preliminary). There is a 50/50 race scheduled for Saturday, October 11th at 1:00 PM. $20 entry, with half going to the club and half to the winner(s). The Melges fleet is having their match racing regatta Saturday, November 15th. Three man teams, boats supplied, no chutes. Put a team together and show up.There's a full slate of events on tap for this fall, with Octoberfest and wine tasting (10/11), a Costume contest (10/31), the chili and soup cookoff (11/15), Bubba's Shrimp boil (11/26), a craft show (12/6), and Christmas parties on the 6th and 24th of December. Should be something there that gets you excited!Think about writing an article for the Port Watch. It could be about a cruise you took, something you'd like to see at the club, just about anything club or boat related. It's OUR publication, so it takes some effort on our part.
